The feature is currently rolled out only for iOS 10 users. Considering the fact that Prisma was first launched for iOS in June and reached Android later, the Android launch can be expected to roll out in a couple of weeks. The Android version is yet to receive support for offline photo processing. Hence, the operating system may receive this offline feature first, prior to receiving the video processing capability.
As of its functionality, Prisma’s video transformation takes a little longer time for conversion than the photographs. There are nine filters available for the users to try. The whole process can be done offline. Soon, Prisma is expected to launch support for GIF creator.
Prima uses deep learning algorithms to process photos in various graphic styles. Launched in June this year, the app received a massive welcome in the market reporting around 10 millions downloads in the first month of launch. According to Prisma, the process it uses for converting photographs to work of art is entirely different from the normal filter apps available on app stores. This is mainly because, the app is creating a new image from the scratch.
