A few weeks ago, Google started rolling out its latest Nougat update to select Nexus devices. The update was being rolled out to the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Nexus Player, Pixel C tablet, and Android One General Mobile 4G smartphones. The initial list of update rollout schedule for Nexus devices did not include the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 LTE, which made us believe that these two devices might not get the update. But now Google has confirmed that both theMotorola Nexus 6 and HTC Nexus 9 LTE will get the Nougat update.

The tech giant confirmed the update for the two devices, and it is expected to hit them “in the coming weeks,” Android Police confirmed the details of the Nougat roll out for Nexus 6 and Nexus 9. Sadly, Google is still maintaining silence over the reason behind the delay of Nougat update for other devices.

To recap, the Android 7.0 Nougat comes with a variety of features and enhancements. It includes features such as Improved notifications bar, Enhanced Doze mode, Unwanted numbers blocking, Multi-window support, and much more. Interestingly, Google has already launched the final build of Nougat, which means OEMs can now start developing their own Nougat-based UI. It also means that manufacturers can now start processing the update to their devices.
